Chris Brown isn’t planning on doing any interviews during the red carpet arrivals at the upcoming Grammys, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the hip hop artist, who is nominated for three awards, is planning an “over the top performance” when he takes to the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The singer’s progress report states: “Chris Brown has made great strides as it pertains to his probation supervision. He has maintained his appointments with his supervising officer, has remained truthful and cooperative and has not tested positive for any illicit substances.” The reason for not doing red carpet interviews before the ceremony is simple, Brown doesn’t want to answer any questions about what happened three years ago.
“Chris just wants to do his performance, and let his music speak for him. Chris and Rihanna have both moved on from what happened, and Chris has accepted responsibility for his actions,” an insider tells RadarOnline.com. “Chris thinks it’s unfair that the media wants to focus on the incident, especially when you look at how the media treats Charlie Sheen. Sheen isn’t asked about his criminal record involving several women, including his now ex-wife. Chris might answer a few questions if he wins an award, but it would be very short, and he would only take a few questions, and not talk about Rihanna.
“Chris is hopeful that his performance will close that chapter on his life. He will be bringing his mom to the awards ceremony, she is his biggest fan, and he has told her he is dedicating his performance to her,” the source says. The Grammy awards will air on CBS on Sunday night, 8/7 central. – RadarOnline.com

Wale and Big Sean’s high-energy workout track ‘Slight Work’ will be directed by hip-hop bad boy Chris Brown. Now the ‘Ambition’ MC has revealed the release date of the upcoming video to fans on Twitter. Follower @AmbitiousMeB writes “@Wale when is slight work video coming out?”
The rapper has since re-tweeted the question simply stating “Feb. 19.” So thankfully, after we all shake off those post-Valentine’s Day blues, Wale, Big Sean and a Diplo-made beat will be there to snap our bodies out of depression. “Man, this video’s just fun,” Breezy says in a recent interview with MTV. “We’re young, so I think it’s only right to just do what we wanna do.”
No word on what the Godfrey Tabarez co-directed video will look like but we assume it will include hot honeys and Diplo doing something random like eating cereal. – Theboombox.com

Chris Brown has been getting attention for all the right reasons lately, but a judge said Thursday that he should continue to remain under the watchful eye of a probation officer as he works to complete the terms of his sentence. The Grammy-nominated R&B singer did not appear for a brief hearing during which his attorney asked that Brown’s term on supervised probation be ended because of his good behavior. Superior Court Judge George Lomeli agreed with prosecutors that despite the singer’s high marks so far, he should continue to report to a probation officer in his home state of Virginia.
Brown is in the midst of a remarkable comeback, with the singer set to perform at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night. His multi-hit album, “F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies) was a top seller and he is nominated for three Grammys, including best R&B album. Attorney Mark Geragos’ request came after Brown’s probation officer wrote in a report that the singer has been truthful with officers, passed all required drug tests and “has made great strides” while under probation supervision. He has completed half of the six months’ worth of roadside cleanup, graffiti removal and other manual labor that he was ordered to do after pleading guilty. Brown was ordered to serve five years on probation.
Lomeli said he didn’t think it was unreasonable for Brown to remain under supervision until he completes more of his community service hours. Brown has completed anger management and domestic violence counseling, and last year another judge relaxed a restraining order that had prohibited Brown and Rihanna from contacting each other or getting too close at music industry events. The judge scheduled another progress hearing for July 10. – Sacbee.com

Chris Brown is planning an over the top performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. As previously reported, Brown is nominated for three Grammys, Best R & B Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song and RadarOnline.com was first to report last year that he planned on performing at this year’s awards show. “Chris has been rehearsing non-stop for the performance,” a source close to the singer tells RadarOnline.com. “He wants to give the audience and his fans an over top the performance. Chris has put a lot of pressure on himself to deliver a memorable performance, and he will deliver, he always does.”
“Chris is hopeful that his performance will close that chapter on his life. He will be bringing his mom to the awards ceremony, she is his biggest fan, and he has told her he is dedicating his performance to her,” the insider tells RadarOnline.com.
“Chris has grown tremendously as a person, and an artist from that time in his life. Chris has complied with all terms of his probation and has completed most of his court ordered community service.
“He has been a model probationer, but more importantly, Chris accepted responsibility for what he did. Chris took that experience and vowed to learn from it and become a better person, and he was thrilled and truly humbled that he was nominated for three Grammys.
“Rihanna and Chris’ handlers will keep them apart during the ceremony, they just don’t want to detract from the awards. Chris and Rihanna have absolutely been spending time together, but they keep it far from prying eyes,” the insider states. – RadarOnline.com

The Grammy Awards are this weekend, and Grammy Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich has confirmed to ABC News Radio that Chris Brown, who has three nominations this year, will be one of the many performers on the show. “We’re glad to have him back,” said Ehrlich. Explaining the decision to allow Brown back on the show, Ehrlich told ABC News Radio, “I think people deserve a second chance, you know. If you’ll note, he has not been on the Grammys for the past few years and it may have taken us a while to kind of get over the fact that we were the victim of what happened.”
